Winter Home Inspection
Some of the most common components that are usually covered by snow during the winter are: the ground around the home, that includes the grading and drainage around the home. The grading, drainage and condition of the driveway, patio and sidewalk. If the roof has snow on it that is also not visible and will not be inspected. Now that doesn't mean that I don't look at these items at all, I try to check these items by cleaning off a small area to make sure I don't see any issues but I can't shovel off the roof, site, sidewalk and driveway to look at every inch of these components like I can during the summer months. Now I'm not trying to discourage you from using me, I'm just trying to give you full disclosure so you are not disappointed after you home inspection. I have also included a sample report of a home inspection that I have done during the winter. Take a look at my Winter Home Inspection Sample Report to get a better idea of what you will get from one of my home inspections during the winter. Now this inspection was quite a ways out of my normal Home Inspection Area and it took me over 2 hours to drive to this home round trip and it was a large home at 4,400 square feet that took me almost 6 hours to complete the inspection. But the main part that I want you to be aware of while reading this report is some of the items that were not fully visible. |
